We visited Dosa Paratha Corner after reading the amazing reviews online. Its just out of the town centre and somewhere we wouldn't pass usually, which is why I wanted to leave a review. This place is totally worth the walk / drive if you want really authentic, tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere, no dressing up just GREAT well priced food (I spent £15 the first time I went then £25 the second and tried LOADS of different things!) The food is a real experience! I went twice with friends and everyone said they wanted to come back. It is vegetarian but the owners said they are introducing some meat dishes, so look out for that on the menu. The owners also mentioned people don't know they are there, so they have not been as busy as they should be - so if you can, try something different and check out this amazing little family run restaurant!!

Ordered mixed veg paratha, dahi puri chat, gulab jamun and an Indian masala chai. Food arrived within expected time, delivered by a really delightful smiley delivery man. Food is delicious, well-seasoned and not excessively spicy. Made for a lovely lunch and the chai was the ultimate cozy autumn beverage. Will definitely order again - highly recommended.
Adding an edit as I’ve now been in for lunch - everything I said before still stands. We had a fantastic lunch and the staff are delightful. Genuinely well worth a visit. Can’t wait to return! 💚

Amazing! In a quiet market town on a dark, cold January night you’ve Googled “Indian restaurants” up comes Dosa Paratha Corner. You walk from the town centre faithfully following your Sat Nav directions secretly thinking where’s this thing taking me as you leave the commercial district behind and meander into suburbia. Then akin to a biblical moment a bright light in the foggy darkness pulls you in.
Dosa are a South Indian pancake/crepe
Made from lentil and rice, fermented.
Dosa Paratha Corner cooked ours to a golden, crispy perfection. With exceptional sauces, intense and colourful in flavour but utterly complimentary to the main. The potato masala inside the Dosa also cooked perfectly.
Family run. With the children helping out and engaging with the customers. We had a chat with the owners/chefs and they were hospitable and generous beyond 95% of other restaurant experiences I’ve had.
The venue is authentic without being tacky.
If you want something different, Indian food but not standard curry, vegetarian too.
Packed with flavour and texture. Dosa Paratha Corner is glorious.
Exceptional value, great food, different, a jewel in the crown of this market town.
I’ve been lucky enough to eat Dosa in India that’s where I discovered what a great food they are. These were the best ever.

We went for breakfast on their opening day, and we were really impressed with everything! Had the Masala Dosa and Uttapam both of which were really tasty and authentic. We also had Masala Chai to wash it down. We will definitely be back for more, keep up the great work!

I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food but nothing like this the food was presented very well and tasted amazing. It’s vegetarian however the owner did mention they would be bringing some meat dishes out soon. I’m a huge foodie and love my meat. This was probably my first vegetarian meal other than beans on toast and I really enjoyed it. I Look forward to returning in a couple weeks and trying there new items.

I am Punjabi and have lived in a small village with no access to authentic Indian food for years. All Indians in the village and around serve western versions of Indian food and it isn’t the same. We visited Dosa Corner today and were not disappointed, FINALLY a place that serves authentic Indian dishes, dishes that I’ve grown up eating! It was a quiet Thursday lunch and so the atmosphere wasn’t busy but music was playing. Husband and Wife owners cooking India’s favourite street dishes, service with a smile and incredible flavours! The wait time may feel a little longer but they are cooking everything fresh! Can’t wait to come again!

Great home cooked style Indian vegetarian street food. Pani Puri, Masala Dosa and Thali we had was perfect. Shame more people don't go here.

This is a great new place to eat authentic vegetarian Indian food within Saffron Walden. The customer service is very friendly. I absolutely love the 'aloo paratha' with melted butter on top with a side of yogurt and pickle. A 'samosa chutney' starter is also a great choice. I am looking forward to trying out the 'thali' very soon.

What a wonderful addition to the local food scene. I no longer need to travel to London for South Indian food.
Like walking into a friend's house. Mum and dad cook and the kids bring water and take orders.
The food is absolutely true to its roots, with the exception that it is spiced for locals, not Indians.. Though thet were more than HD happy to increase the heat for me.
Perfect masala dosa with home made chutnies. Great spiced potato filling in a crispy dosa and a bowl of sambhar.
I pigged out and had iddlies with sambhar too. Equally delicious.
A cup of masala chai to complete a wonderful brunch.
Simple furnishings in this converted cafe.
A lovely family, I wish them ever success.
They deserve to grow a following.
Currently only open during the day, but looking to serve food in the evening too.

We had a stunning early dinner here, we deliberately went straight over after school to get in before they close at 5!
We're still dreaming of the flavours of the pani puri and freshly made masala dosa, it was all really delicious flavours and we can't wait to go back again for more. We also had a delicious masala chai and mango lassi, the kiddo slurped that all up in no time. Sadly no time for pudding this time but any excuse to go again!
Really cosy space, such affordable prices and lots of gluten free options which was great for us. It's such a great addition to Walden, it's a new favourite place to eat and hopefully they can get their evening license soon!
